Celebrating Thai Mother's Day

In Thailand, Mother's Day is celebrated on August 12th to commemorate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit ,the Mother of all Thai people. A traditional Mother’s Day gift in Thailand is jasmine- a flower that resembles motherhood. Since Mother's Day was on a Sunday this year, we invited the girls' mother or mother-figure to join us at church to celebrate this special day. Many of the girls gave flowers to the Eden House staff that fill the role of mother in their lives.
