July has come and gone and the girls are still not in school due to the worsening COVID situation here in Thailand. So what does it look like at Eden House?? We have divided the girls by there grades and each group has a staff that helps to assist and teach the girls with their school work. Most of the girls are learning "On Demand", meaning that they are given youtube links to watch and then they do activities in their workbook. We do school work with the girls 2.5 hours a day. The girls that are in 10th grade and up learn online via their cell phones from 9:00-3:00 every week day.
With more extra time around Eden House we have done many activities together. We had 2 weeks of sports days in the evenings and the girls have learned ot surfskarte! We continue with our weekly worship and Bible study time together; this year we are focusing on the Last Days of Jesus on Earth. The older girls wrote and filmed a story about the imporantce of givng from the heart. We've baked lots of yummy snacks and the girls have been working hard at making handmade things that we will sell when we come to America in Septmeber! They are making Christmas ornaments, bracelets,coasters and keychains! We also helped our church move into its new building! We are glad that the girls not going to school means we have more time with them and are learning new things together!
